And we’re making another marketing push! We’ve changed the logo, renamed the site, and we’re offering you the chance to participate. We need help with moderating the posts and comments. If you’re interested, please find a week on our calendar that hasn’t been claimed yet (see below) and send an email to Martha Shinners (mshinners at secstate.wa.gov) noting the week(s) that you’d like. The minimum for participation is one week, but you’re welcome to sign up for more than one week if you like. The week beginning May 28th will be the first week that libraries can sign up for. Note that the weeks run from Monday through Sunday, and by signing up, you agree to check for new postings twice every hour from 10 a .m. to 8 p.m. , Monday through Friday.
We’ll be offering ninety-minute online trainings on how to moderate. The first two sessions will be held on May 17th and May 22nd with additional trainings offered as needed. To register, please visit the training sign up page for the Moderation classes. We’re also offering a general overview of the blog project on May 3rd and again on May 8th.
As we did last year, we’ve created bookmarks and flyers that you can use to promote the Book Blog. We’ll even pay for the bookmarks. Just fill out this order form and email it to jstroud at secstate.wa.gov. We also have a logo that you can post on your website. For more information on promotion and participation, please see our participation page.
