When fifteen-year-old Liz Hall ends up being hit by a taxicab and killed, she finds herself in a place similar to Earth, but really nothing like Earth at all. Liz tries to “live” in this new place, but she becomes very depressed. Not only can she never turn sixteen, but she’ll never see her family again. Overall, Liz tries to make the most of her life in Elsewhere and figures out the true meaning of life and death in the end.
